    Reporting to our Finance Director the successful candidate in this critical role will be responsible for overseeing the global controllership functions at the corporate level, managing the accounting, tax, treasury and compliance functions, maintaining fiscal records, establishing and maintaining internal controls and procedures, financial infrastructure, preparing financial reports in compliance with the company’s reporting requirements and operating procedures, and defining and implementing scalable business processes/programs and tools to support the success of the company.

    • Collaborates with Director of Finance to support overall department goals and objectives.
    • Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
    • Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
    • Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
    • Extracts and presents relevant financial information; interprets data for the purpose of explaining past financial performance and projecting future results.
    • Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
    • Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
    • Prepares monthly financial statements and projections by consolidating accounting data for export to corporate schedules; ensures that financial information has been recorded in accordance with budgets; provides written interpretation of results and recommends corrective actions based on analysis.
    • Monitors the performance of operating units and works with department managers to forecast results on an ongoing basis; analyzes deficiencies and provides feedback to managers. Assists in formulating and refining short and long-term financial goals for each department through consultation with departmental directors.
    • Manage all external audit efforts. Act as the liaison between the accounting team and the external firm in its preparation of the external audit.
    • Works with department managers and appropriate personnel to prepare annual overhead project budgets.
    • Co-ordinates with the marketing department and senior managers to prepare the annual revenue and gross margin plan. Consolidates information and prepares company financial plan for senior management review.
    • Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
    • Assists with development of new business proposals including budget preparations, project specifications, and pricing. Analyzes capital investments.
    • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
    • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
    • Makes recommendations to improve financial processes and systems.
    • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and provide feedback on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field required.
    • Ten+ years of progressive, broad based experience with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in a management role with demonstrated success in growing an accounting/finance team.
    • Solid comprehension of financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, as well as technical accounting knowledge and systems is required (i.e., GAAP, SEC, FASB compliance).
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS a plus), internal controls and financial reporting required. Use of SAP (or another similar integrated ERP system) desirable.
    • Expansive financial planning and analysis experience within the manufacturing sector desired, and knowledge of Government Cost Accounting Standards a plus.

    • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

    A condition of this position will require the successful Applicant to pass a government security investigation and must subsequently receive authorization to access US Department of Defense Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”) and potentially classified information.
