    Responsibilities

    Directs manufacturing integration and system testing activities for new, upgrade and repaired equipment.

    • Supervises, directs and supports the Equipment Integration and Field Service functions by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Specific areas of responsibility related to integration and test of equipment include:
    • Equipment Integration and Testing
    • Factory Acceptance Testing
    • TRR readiness
    • Sea Testing
    • PMA & resolution
    • RMAs
    • Acts as manufacturing liaison to engineering for design evaluation and producibility input.
    • Suggests tooling, documentation and other areas for improved efficiency and standardization during integration and test. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change as required.
    • Enforces production quality standards to include use of process sheets, drawings, and troubleshooting guides to ensure consistent and uniform construction and closeout of vehicles.
    • Assists in the development of test procedures and objective pass/fail criteria for new and existing vehicles.
    • Reads and interprets specific test procedures to properly perform and document test results.
    • Administers and ensures the quality of products by following testing procedures and supports Technicians in these tasks.
    • Provides direction and training to Technicians per specific test procedures by using measuring instruments and computer test programs for vehicle systems.
    • Documents test results with appropriate information in a complete manner and supervises Technicians to do so.
    • Communicates all design problems and “bugs” to the correct areas within the organization using established procedures, e.g. ECR, Jira SW Reports, Trouble Tickets, alerting engineering liaison.
    • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the integration, test and repair process.
    • Supports and assists with prioritization of resources to projects per established weekly priorities.
    • Provides technical guidance and oversight for integration, test and field service technicians.
    • Maintains quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
    • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on established policies and procedures.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through education; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in engineering or a technical field plus 10 or more years of related experience and/or training integration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience as a field technician and/or operating and maintaining AUV Systems preferred.
    • Experience sea testing and international travel experience also preferred.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
    • The ideal candidate is an individual that can work in a fast paced environment; with a high attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and enthusiastic attitude.

     

    A condition of this position will require the successful Applicant to pass a government security investigation and must subsequently receive authorization to access US Department of Defense Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”) and potentially classified information.
