• Work with engineering leadership, program management, and the customer to ensure product designs are aligned with the program technical vision and meet all requirements.
• Manage the technical baseline of product within the Enterprise, support technical planning, and ensure projects remains within budget and schedule.
• Establish product development approach for Enterprise projects, with emphasis on quality, robustness, and reliability.
• Resolve cross-discipline technical issues.
• Provide dotted-line supervision of Enterprise technical personnel involved in the design and development of complex systems.
• Act as the Enterprise technical focal point of contact with internal and external customers.
• Provide weekly/monthly Program Review Board participation, as required, to support reporting of technical, cost, and schedule progress.
• Work with the Program Manager to create and maintain development plans and schedules
• Act as a mentor to Enterprise technical team members.
• Support continuous improvement through adherence to and improvement of CMMI development processes.
• Other responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications.

• Experience establishing strategy for technical product development with emphasis on multidisciplinary systems (mechanical, electrical, software, etc.)
• Experience as project leader/manager including supervision of technical personnel involved in the design and development of complex systems
• Background with AUV/Marine Robotics and development/integration of products within an IPT environment preferred
• Demonstrated project management skills, including earned value and risk management
• Demonstrated excellent customer interfacing and presentation skills
• Highly skilled providing technical briefing to internal/external customers and company leadership
• Working experience leading technical definition and change proposal development
• Experience identifying program risks and develop mitigation plans
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with / in Marine / Defense Contracting environments
• BS degree (or higher) in an engineering discipline and 7+ years of applicable work experience
• Minimum 7- 10 years of progressive experience demonstrating the proficiency levels required for effective project management
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a security clearance
• Some travel is associated with this role to support customer meetings and/or provide technical support

A condition of this position will require the successful Applicant to pass a government security investigation and must subsequently receive authorization to access US Department of Defense Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”) and potentially classified information.
